1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for personal data processed after it is submitted to AnyNC support is:
Igor Ðurica, Einzelunternehmer (Nebengewerbe), trading as AnyNC
Hölzleweg 61, 78054 Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany
anync.software@gmail.com
[Data protection officer contact, if applicable]
2. Local application and diagnostic logs
AnyNC creates local log files to maintain application reliability, diagnose errors, investigate unexpected behavior, and assist with technical support. Normal logging is active during ordinary use. More detailed diagnostic logging is optional, is disabled by default, and can be enabled or disabled under Settings > General > Diagnostic logging.
Depending on the activity and error involved, logs may contain:
- dates, times, session and operation identifiers, durations, and log levels; - AnyNC, Python, Qt/PySide, and operating-system version information; - process and thread information, application mode, display configuration, executable location, working directory, and command-line arguments; - application events, selected settings or machine configuration, operation results, warnings, error messages, and stack traces; and - names and paths of files handled by AnyNC.
AnyNC does not intentionally write the contents of CNC programs to diagnostic logs. Passwords, authentication tokens, licence keys, URL credentials, and Windows account names matching recognised patterns are filtered where technically possible. Filtering reduces risk but cannot guarantee that every personal, confidential, or commercially sensitive value is removed.
3. Storage, retention, and deletion
Logs are stored locally on the computer at:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\AnyNC\Log
If that location is unavailable, AnyNC uses the operating system's temporary
directory under AnyNC\Log. Log files are limited to 10 MB per part and up to
three parts per session. AnyNC automatically retains no more than 30 sessions
and removes log sessions older than 30 days. A user or administrator may delete
the log files earlier.
Diagnostic logs and crash reports are not automatically transmitted to the controller or any third party.
4. Diagnostic mode
Diagnostic mode records additional technical DEBUG events and may create
larger logs. It should be enabled temporarily when reproducing an unexplained
problem and disabled after the required session has been captured. The selected
setting is stored locally in settings.ini.
5. Support packages and voluntary disclosure
AnyNC can create a support package containing a diagnostic summary and recent privacy-filtered log files. Creating a package does not transmit it. A package is provided to the controller only when the user deliberately sends or uploads it through a separate support channel.
Before sharing a log or support package, users should consider whether file names, paths, error messages, or other metadata reveal personal, confidential, export-controlled, or commercially sensitive information.
When a support package is submitted, the controller processes its contents solely to investigate, reproduce, resolve, and document the reported issue and to protect the reliability and security of AnyNC.
Legal basis for submitted support data: [insert the lawful basis approved by legal counsel, for example performance of a support contract and/or legitimate interests, including the specific legitimate interests where applicable].
Recipients or categories of recipients: [identify authorised internal support staff and any support, hosting, ticketing, email, or storage service providers].
International transfers: [state whether submitted support data may be transferred outside the EEA and identify the applicable safeguards].
Retention after submission: [state the approved support-case retention period or objective deletion criteria].
AnyNC does not use diagnostic logs or support packages for advertising, behavioural profiling, or unrelated monitoring.
6. Data protection rights
Where the controller receives personal data in a submitted support package, applicable law may give the data subject rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, as well as the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority. Requests may be sent to the contact listed in section 1. The availability of individual rights depends on the circumstances and legal basis of the processing.
7. Security
AnyNC applies technical safeguards including local-only storage by default, limited retention and file size, restricted diagnostic mode, and filtering of recognised sensitive values. Users and administrators remain responsible for access controls and security on the computer and for choosing a secure channel when voluntarily submitting support material.
8. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when logging, support handling, legal requirements, or service providers change. The current notice should identify its revision date and be made available before or when the relevant processing occurs.
